Watermelon Lime Granita

Ah the dog days of summer! When most people complain about the humidity I am just loving every minute of it. This kind of weather reminds me of the beach in Garden City, South Carolina and brings back sweet, saltwater memories for me. And, sadly I know a Wisconsin winter is in the not too distant future. So, instead of hiding from the heat, I made myself this cool, icy drink with some of the watermelon we have taking  up precious refirigerator space. I made this one alcohol free, but I am sure it would be even better with a dash of tequila too!

Here's What You Need:
2 cups chopped watermelon
1 cup of ice
1/8 tsp of salt
1 TBS of agave (honey would work too)

Juice from 1 lime

Here's What You Do:
Blend and serve. How easy is that? This makes 1 big or two small drinks, so adjust accordingly.

Kid Tip:
Pretty much a watermelon smoothy-I think you won't have to twist your kids arms to like this one! (You may want to omit the salt for their version)
