I just may be one of the only moms who never makes pb+j sandwiches. I don't know why...I guess it's because I have always found them unispiring myself. Paninis on the other hand, I kind of adore. Ever since I got my panini maker in January I have had so much fun making creative combinations. This Peanut Butter and Banana Panini was a fun, simple one that both my kids adored. Okay, I admit I really liked it too...
Here's What You Need: (This makes 2 sandwiches)
4 pieces whole wheat bread
2 TBS of peanut butter, divided
Cinnamon
1 large, ripe banana, mashed
Best Life Spread
Here's What You Do:
Mash the banana and give it a big dash of cinnamon. Spread the peanut butter on two pieces of bread, topping it with the banana cinnamon combo. Top with another plain piece of bread and spread Best Life Spread on the outsides of the sandwiches. Put in the panini maker for about 4 minutes. (You can make this like you would a grill cheese if you don't have a panini maker.)
Kid Tip:
This is for your kids so no kid tip needed! Feel free to experiment with different fruits even subbing in almond butter if you wish.
Peanut butter, bananas, cinnamon... mmmm whats not to like?! :P love the combination!
